Active Surface Management:

A MEMBRANE SURFACE THAT IS UNIQUE IN ITS PROPERTIES

The superior removal characteristics of the BIOPURE-HF dialysers are the result of the “Active Centers” on the inner side surface of the membrane that mediate the electrostatic, polar and hydrophobic interactions of proteins and middle molecular toxins with the inner membrane wall and thus repel proteins away; that consequently leads to reducing the protein adsorption to the inner membrane as well as its pores, resulting in reduced pore clogging and facilitates the movement of the middle molecular toxins through the pores.
